Instead of polished \u201chappy people on the beach\u201d commercials, UGC is created by common people with the usual social media tools. This way, the ad blends into the content made by the user\u2019s friends.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-b1267fc elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"b1267fc\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<iframe id=\"bCastiFrm68r1xrln\" src=\"https:\/\/player.bcast.fm\/mobile-growth-pancakes\/68r1xrln-what-mobile-marketers-should-know-about-user-generated-content-ads-with-christian-eckhardt-of-customlytics\" frameborder=\"0\" height=\"417\"  seamless=\"true\" style=\"width:100%;height:417px;\" width=\"100%\"><\/iframe>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3a709ef elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3a709ef\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">\u201cWe saw huge success with brands from all sorts of verticals\u201d, says Christian. \u201cAnd not only do these ads work better, they are also much cheaper to produce.\u201d There is no need for a high production studio or hired models, you just need a phone, regular people and some social media skills.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">One big success was the campaign for the electric car sharing company WeShare. \u201cWe just told members of our design team at Customlytics to use a car and have a nice day\u201d, Christian\u00a0 explains. The employees did as they were told and created\u00a0 videos during\u00a0 their trips which later became the content of the ad campaign. The success was remarkable: Important KPIs saw significant increases, among others there were 30% more app installs, as pointed out <\/span><span style=\"text-decoration: underline;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/customlytics.com\/de\/case-studies\/weshare\/\"><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">in the corresponding case study<\/span><\/a><\/span><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">.<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Though Christian humbly states that \u201cyou don\u2019t have to be a marketing genius to come up with this concept\u201d there are many nuances to user-generated content. Among other things, you should pay attention to the channel where you run your ads. \u201cInstagram is different from TikTok\u201d, he states. class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">According to Christian , this UGC approach is not a one-hit wonder. \u201cWe have tested it for mobility, E-Commerce, travel and a few other companies\u201d, the CEO shares. \u201cI\u2019d say it works for everyone because it\u2019s not a phenomenon, there is an easy explanation why user-generated content works better: It just fits the content you see on these social networks, hiqh-quality productions do not.\u201d<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Christian\u00a0 has a simple rule to spot unfitting advertisements: \u201cThe biggest tell is that you see it\u2019s an ad.\u201c He always thinks about how car manufacturers produce their ads. \u201cThese are ads where everyone can see at first glance, this is an ad.&#8220;<\/span><\/p><p><span style=\"font-weight: 400;\">Publishing these old school ads in an environment that is dominated by user-generated content isn\u2019t only expensive and ineffective, it is also hurtful to the brand, as the Customlytics CEO explains. \u201cIt doesn\u2019t feel authentic and people don\u2019t relate to it.\u201d Ads with user-generated content on the other hand feel more real and people rather trust them \u2013 as the Customlytic\u2019s numbers show.<\/span><\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-f4e2c1f elementor-widget elementor-widget-heading\" data-id=\"f4e2c1f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-e-type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"heading.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t<h2 class=\"elementor-heading-title elementor-size-default\">Cheaper, better, but underused<\/h2>\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-3d9ce09 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"3d9ce09\"
